The Maclaren Triumph vs. Quest

A lot of young moms choose the Maclaren Triumph or Quest regardless of whether their little one is their 1st baby or their 2nd or 3rd child. The name Maclaren is a well known name in the world of baby strollers, and the Company has quite a few stroller types.

Let's take a look at features Triumph and Quest have in common...

First of all, they are umbrella style strollers. Almost all young moms purchase a minimum 1 light weight stroller for the little one. As standard models can provide extra room for the child, these stroller types do have their benefits. Furthermore, these strollers focus on the very same light weight, however practical design of the original buggy. The following features are in common:

- Five point harness system. Basically, a good 5-point harness is a must. It adds a much greater level of safety once compared to the old three point harness. So, this is a great enhancement. With this simple but safe system, you do not have to precisely lower the baby in a restrictive bucket seat.
- Not fixed and washable seat. It is both comfy for the little ones and easy for the young mommy or daddy to clean.
- Single hand, five seconds fold. And once you get the hang of it, it is a 3 second fold!
- Large canopy which is waterproof. A good hood is very important, mainly to protect the little one from the sun and elements.
- Lockable front swivel wheels. They are much better when compared to non-swivel ones because they are a lot mote easier for mom and dad to navigate.
- Mom friendly handles. Women have delicate skin and padded handles protect their hands.
- Carry strap. The carry strap is useful, for instance, in case you'll be getting on and off the buses.
- Suitable from 3 months and up.
- Rain cover is included.
- Useful big mesh shopping basket
- Lightweight structure
- Foot-operated linked rear brakes
- Extendible leg rest. It further increases the comfort of the stroller.
- Wheel size is 5 inches.
- Carrying capacity up to 55 pounds.
- Height adjustable shoulder harness system.

And what makes them special?

The Maclaren Triumph has a sailing flag theme. This umbrella stroller has several seat positions with adjusting strap. It weighs in 11.5 pounds. Things unique to the Quest are reflective accents and a peek a boo window on the hood. this Maclaren stroller is suitable from and offers 4 seat positions. It weighs in 12.1 pounds.

So, which one is better? Well, they are quite the same. In case you are planning on taking the bus, tram, metro or taxi often, it is more convenient to buy the Maclaren Triumph. And if you have your own car it is better to go for the Quest. Obviously, the reason is the weight of the stroller. There is a small weight difference, however enough to make a difference.

Maclaren Triumph - Designed For Your Baby's Safety and Comfort

Maclaren is a very popular stroller company in Europe and has begun selling in the United States. The Maclaren Triumph is their lightweight stroller weigh in 11.2lbs and it has probably the most compact fold in the world. As you will notice the seat is large and it can accommodate a large child. It is very wide and very tall. It has a 5 point padded harness that is adjustable enough for a larger child, about 4 years old, all the way down to a small toddler. You have to put the two harness clips together before inserting into the buckle. It can be a little frustrating with a screaming child but very easy to do.

The Maclaren Triumph has amazing maneuverability. It is truly a one handed stroller. You can even push it with one finger with no problem. It takes little to no effort to maneuver this stroller. It has a canopy that adequately shades your child. But it doesn’t have side windows like some other lightweight strollers. It has a basket underneath that might not fir a diaper bag but will fit some other baby essentials. Rear wheels have a parking brake which has an easy on off feature.

There are four non-air filled hard rubber wheels that have amazing maneuverability. The front wheels are swivel wheels that have the ability to lock straight.

The Maclaren Triumph is the most compact stroller that I have ever seen. It easily fits into every trunk I have tried. Another really great thing is because it is so compact it is no problem co carry around. It is very easy to unfold as well.

Maclaren Triumph comes with some accessories worth mentioning. It comes with a great rain cover and a hood. Since it is a reclining seat I recommend that you use it from 9 months and older. One thing you want to watch for is the frame. Because it is so lightweight you do not want to hang handbags on the handles. Maybe a small purse but if you put a large diaper bag what will happen is that whole stroller will tip backwards even with your child in it. Just remember that everything should be either underneath it or you should carry it yourself.

Being one of the most compact pushchairs in the world it takes little space in your car trunk. So, with its great compact fold, its great transport features and really roomy seat and amazing maneuverability the Maclaren Triumph is perfect for traveling. It is easy to use and cozy enough for your child and it has a great ventilation property. No wonder it is so popular and considered one of the best child pushchairs on the market today. It is recommended for moms and dads who are always on the go and are looking for a new pushchair for their precious one.

Maclaren Triumph – Features and Accessories

Maclaren has been making quality strollers since 1984. This one is the newest to their collection. It is called the Maclaren Triumph and it is very unique in the world of strollers. Things that makes it most unique are the lightweight design and a whole bunch of accessories. It has really great accessories that work well with it, such as universal pack away foot muff, reversible seat liners, comfort packs, mosquito net, sun parasol etc. So, these accessories make it unique. You can use this one stroller and actually make it into several different strollers for your unique needs.

The seat is very roomy and accommodates up to 55 pounds, so even your older children can hop in for a ride. It is around 16 inches from side to side, so your wider children can fit and around 20 inches from seatback all the way up to the canopy top. If your children get a bit taller they are going to brush their hair on the canopy but it is a very roomy seat.

It features a padded 5 point secure harness. But it doesn’t have a baby bumper bar. So, this is a downside. But it does have an adjustable footrest. The seat has fabric that is durable and resistant. Plus the back of the seat is very comfortable and provides lumbar support for your baby. The seat has a three position strap recline. I prefer one handed bar recline, but the straps are easier than a zipper system, so I don’t really mind it. It doesn’t have a very deep recline, so you can’t put a newborn baby in this seat comfortably.

The Maclaren Triumph has a very good canopy. As you will notice it is large. But it doesn’t have a useful picaboo window. Also, you want find any storage space on the canopy. And a zipper pocket on the top of the canopy is always a plus. But it does have a medium sized basket. It is not easy to access if you have the seat reclined, but here is a tip – you can access the mash basket from the side of the stroller in case your seat is reclined.

One great accessory is the mosquito net. All you have to do is attach it and there is a full mosquito protection which completely goes around he stroller to completely and protects your child.

One great feature of the Maclaren Triumph are the handlebars. They are padded palm rest handlebars, so you can literally push the stroller with the palms of your hands. It is to prevent muscle strain because when you grab a handle bar you are straining the muscles. This is why you should be relaxed while strolling. And the handlebars are adjustable for the parents of different heights. You can position handlebars in any position you like as long as you stop it and lock it in place.
It has a suspension system to cut down on the bumps for the baby. Also, it weighs in 11.5 pound.

Maclaren Triumph – Babies Love It

The first thing that strikes about the Maclaren Triumph is the fabulous design. It is unlike any other lightweight stroller on the market today. It has a simple yet greatly designed frame. This stroller is Maclaren’s lightweight stroller weigh in 11.5 pounds (without the rain cover, big shopping basket, and a hood that keeps your child from elements). It is a great compact stroller for parents on the go. The canopy is a decent size. But if you want a full rain protection you are going to have to add a hood.

The features I absolutely love about the Triumph are the adjustable handles. This is something that is not on most lightweight strollers. And it is for moms and dads of different heights. All you have to do is lift a lever and handles go all the way down and all the way up for the taller moms and dads so they kick the frame of the stroller if they have a long stride. As you will notice between the two rear wheels there is no bar to kick anyway. So, somebody with a long stride isn’t going to kick the stroller.

The seat is large and roomy. It is comfortable for a small child as well as a large child. The canopy is large enough so there is enough room for your child to grow. There is an adjustable 5 point padded harness that adjusts snuggly to fit your small children as well as your older toddlers.

The feature I really like is the adjustable footrest, so that your tiniest riders don’t have their legs dangling. And I just love that it has a lower foot rest for older children to comfortably set their feet. The Maclaren Triumph has a recline, but it is not a flat recline, so I recommend this stroller from 6 months and up. It folds simply. It is a strap system recline. And that makes it so easy to do. But you are noth gong to be able to do this easily with a child in the seat because their weight pulls on the strap. On the other hand it is not that bad. If I had just one change it would be that there would be one handed bar recline which would make things much easier for moms and dads.

There is a basket underneath. It is not the biggest basket and it can fit a purse or few baby essentials such as diapers and tissues. But it is not going to fit your big diaper bag.
Since the Maclaren Triumph is sturdy you will probably be able to hang your diaper bag on the handlebar. Also, there is a unique head rest that keeps your child comfortable but allows air to circulate through the stroller.

There are four rubber wheels that provide a very smooth ride for your child. The beaks are easy to do with just your foot by stepping on a break lever.
Once your figure out how to fold a Maclaren Triumph it is easy to do; just push back the canopy, one foot underneath, one foot on the right hand side and you are done. And unfolding this stroller is also easy to do.

The maneuverability of the Triumph is amazing. It glides along with very little effort. It is truly a one handed stroller. As you will notice because of the four wheel system it does not tip even when you turn it. Weigh in 11.5 pounds this stroller is one of the most lightweight four wheel pushchairs on the market.
Overall, it is compact, has great maneuverability, great design and retails for around $190. Definitely a recommended model!
